About counselling
Counselling is a talking therapy using various approaches based on a theoretical framework. It’s a safe space, without judgement, to explore whatever is troubling you. We all face challenges in life and sometimes these can become overwhelming. Our emotional resilience may be low, we may be lacking in support structures or we simply feel our current coping strategies aren’t enough. Counselling can help with increasing our understanding of ourselves, how we think (about ourselves and others), and how we relate to people in our lives. This understanding and self awareness often leads to personal growth and change, which in turn can bring life back under control.

Counselling is a professional relationship and together we will establish goals and objectives of therapy, decide on number of sessions required and how best to work together. I will endeavour to meet your needs, whether that is mode of working- (face to face, online or phone) or short or longer term therapy.
